I was introduced to TAFE and vocational training in my first job straight out of high school where I commenced my career as a Food and Beverage Trainee in a Sydney Hotel. Being impressed by practical and individual training I decided to attain a Diploma in Hospitality Management. I really enjoyed my time as a student and was fortunate enough to win the Vocational Student of the Year at the NSW training awards. I made a decision to share my knowledge as a TAFE Lecturer once I obtained strong industry experience.
I worked in Sydney, Canberra, London, and Adelaide predominately in 4 & 5 star hotels within the Food and Beverage departments. In 2008 I was given the opportunity to join TAFE SA and I haven't looked back ! I'm passionate about 'keeping up with the times' from both an educational and industry perspective and I believe being a part of ATTHEEA is the perfect forum for sharing ideas and experiences.
